Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar "Bharat Ratna",Why & How?

The question whether Sachin deserves a Bharat Ratna or not is an altogether different facet. I mean who are we to comment whether this gem of cricket really deserves a Bharat Ratna! Renowned personalities like Sourav Ganguly, BJP leader Gopinath Munde and Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan have already shown their support in Sachin’s favor. But does our little master really needs anyone’s nod to be applauded with a Bharat Ratna? I mean, he has done so much for the country, made gallons of runs in both forms of the game and has
represented India on a global arena; does he really need a recognition at
this stage?

Agreed that adding Bharat Ratna in his kitty of awards would add another feather in his cap but why is this debate making so much of news in the media? Why are we exaggerating the topic to such an extent that it in itself is overshadowing the contribution of Sachin Tendulkar in world-class cricket? Every media channel, every newspaper is focusing on this issue and making huge TRPs, but is it really required to stretch the topic like a Bubblegum.

Yuvraj Singh advocated Bharat Ratna for Sachin Tendulkar. "Sachin Tendulkar should get Bharat Ratna for his services to the game. He deserves it the most," he said, after reaching Chandigarh, his hometown. His captain MS Dhoni, teammate Harbhajan Singh and former hockey captain Dhanraj Pillay also joined the chorus for awarding the Bharat Ratna to Tendulkar.

Giving Tendulkar Bharat Ratna would require change of rules:
The calls for bestowing Sachin Tendulkar with the ‘Bharat Ratna’ may have got louder after India’s World Cup triumph but giving the country’s highest civillian honour to the batting icon would require tweaking of the criteria that has been laid down for the coveted award.

The ‘Bharat Ratna’ was started in 1954 and has so far been given to 41 eminent personalities, none of whom are sports-persons, the reason being the criteria for the coveted honour.

Constitutional expert Subhash Kashyap says given the current rules “Tendulkar does not qualify for the honour and giving the award to him would require a change in the rules.”

According to the criteria at present, the award is given for exceptional contribution in the fields of art, literature, science and social service. The criteria does not have any mention of sports.

Kashyap says the government has to decide whether it wants to include sports in the criteria for the award. The Sports Ministry will have to present such a proposal for cabinet approval.

“Once the cabinet gives its approval, the Home Ministry can bestow this honour on not just Sachin Tendulkar but any other athlete,” he said.

Indian cricket team’s prominent players such as Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh and Virender Sehwag have all asked for the honour to be bestowed on Tendulkar after the side’s World Cup win.

India won the Cricket World Cup 2011

India won the Cricket World Cup 2011 beating Srilanka by 6 wickets.India having tremendous journey in knockout games by beating Australlia(Quarterfinal),Pakistan(Semifinal),Srilanka(Final).

India won the World Cup before Australia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka did and their 1983 victory at Lord's destroyed the confidence of the West Indies to such and extent that the winners of the first two editions are still to recover from that stunner.
This is for Sachin : Yuvraj Singh
Very sorry to disappoint you, guys. It was not for my girlfriend or my fiancee, but for Sachin Tendulkar," he said at the packed post-final media conference with skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni sitting by his side.

"This (winning the 50-over format World Cup) is unbelievable. Under-19 World Cup, then Twenty20 World Cup but this is the most special," he said after India defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets in the World Cup summit showdown.

"(This is) for Sachin, for everyone else in the team. I want to dedicate this to my Guru Ram Singh and Guru Ajit Singh and my parents and friends," he said.

After guiding the team to a great victory over defending champions Australia in the quarterfinals, Yuvraj had said that he wanted to win the trophy for a "special person" and added the identity of the person would be revealed by him after the final.

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar(Cup of Sachin)
"Dhoni is the best captain I have played under. He is very sharp and always alert. He reads the situation well and is open to sharing ideas," said Sachin.

Zaheer Khan(21 wickets in CWC 2011)
We are proud to emulate '83 heroes: Zaheer

The whole country has a share: Dhoni
It's not very often that you find a happy and beaming MS Dhoni at a press conference. But it was not just another press conference - he now arrived as the leader of the world champions. With a visibly proud and satisfied Yuvraj Singh by his side, the Indian skipper was anything but the self contained captain cool we know of.

After winning the 2011 World Cup, Indian skipper MS Dhoni is planning to add another feather to his cap by targeting the Twenty20 crown, with the tournament being played in Sri Lanka next year.

We are always cheering for team india.& great wishes to Team India future : Tech Impulsion Team.......

An Admired Letter to Sachin & Humiliated Letter to Rest of the Team Members

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar( born 24 April 1973) is an Indian cricketer widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. He is the leading run-scorer and century maker in Test and one-day international cricket. He is the only male player to score a double century in the history of ODI cricket. In 2002, just 12 years into his career, Wisden ranked him the second greatest Test batsman of all time, behind Donald Bradman, and the second greatest one-day-international (ODI) batsman of all time, behind Viv Richards. In September 2007, the Australian leg spinner Shane Warne rated Tendulkar as the greatest player he has played with or against.
Here is an open letter by a fan to Sachin after India lost to Africa
Dear Sachin,
I feel sad. Even after 22 years of playing for the country, you are still expected to win matches on your own. We forget that apart from you there are 10 more players in the team. You have been the run machine in World Cups with an average …of 60. Even today while you yet again proved your class with a 111 the others around took it easy. You chased the ball in the outfield and ensured that your throws landed on top of the bails. Others preferred to drop catches or go back to the dressing room for a ‘rest’ while a substitute fielder came in. Sachin, the current Indian cricket team doesn’t deserve you.
They don’t know what it is like to give one’s blood and sweat for this nation of a billion people. For them fame and money has come to easy and undeserving – not commensurate to the ’supposed talent’ that they posses. Do you remember what you had said to Tom Alter in that interview in 1989? “I just want to play cricket”. Sachin, let me also not hide the truth – you are not my favorite cricketer – but one plays favorites only with humans – not with Gods for they are revered, emulated and looked at in awe… [We expect Sachin to win this cup for us. But what about the other players? Are they supposed to be playing ludo in the dressing room? I hope that the rest of the team wake up and realize that they are not there to 'play' in the tournament, they are supposed to 'win' it - not for themselves, not for India but for the greatest Indian to have lived - Sachin Tendulkar. P.S: In the 1992, Hero Cup semi-final in Eden Gardens Kolkata (India Vs. SA), SA needed 6 runs to win off the last over. Tendulkar snatched the ball from Azhar and bowled a magnificent over to win that match for us. (He gave away only 3 runs). Maybe our team needs to watch that over to know what guts and glory are all about.] Sachin, I hope we win the final in Wankhede. If we don’t a billion people can only hang their heads in shame and ask for your forgiveness.
Regards,
One of your undying fans who:
1. Still goes crazy when you hit that straight drive and show us the manufacturer’s name on the bat.
2. Stayed awake late into the night before my end terms to watch that 100 in Sharjah in the midst of that sandstorm.
3. Relished every shot that you played to decimate Warne in 1998 and then Shoaib Akhtar in that 2003 World Cup against Pakistan.
4. Will stop watching cricket after you retire.

Shame on you other Indian players ,all of you not deserve to play with Sachin Tendulkar...

Indian Squad For Cricket World Cup 2011

Indian Cricket Team For World Cup 2011
The injured duo of Sachin Tendulkar (hamstring) and Praveen Kumar (elbow) have been named in the squad, and the selectors would be hoping that they regain fitness before India kicks off its campaign against Bangladesh in Mirpur on the opening day of the tournament. Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir, who had also sustained injuries and came back to India before the start of the one-day series in South Africa have also been included.
There are no major surprises in the squad
with Rohit Sharma
and S Sreesanth not making the cut.
Pragyan Ojha though can consider himself unlucky as he hasn't been picked for the
World Cup. The selectors have gone in with only one wicket-keeper in
skipper MS Dhoni.
Yuvraj SinghSuresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Yusuf Pathan,Harbhajan Singh,
Praveen Kumar, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Munaf PatelPiyush Chawla, R Ashwin.
